Here is one more healthy snacking!!It is said that percentage of your protein intake should be equal to your weight so this is one more option for the same . Pulses are full of protein..If you are hitting the gym or exercising this is good option to have.
ALL YOU NEED IS
- Common onion or spring onion(finely chopped) - 1 medium size
- Yellow moong dal -1 cup
- Mustard seeds(small) - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 6-7
- Tomato(finely chopped) - 1 small
- Capsicum (finely chopped) - 1 small
- Green chilies(if required) -as per your spicy quotient
- Lemon to be sprinkled
First of all soak moong dal in water for about an hr then after an hr drain the water.
In a pan take 1tsp of ghee , then mustard seeds when they begin to crack put curry leaves and then onion , once onions are little brown put capsicum stir it for a little while and then put moong dal and saute a little bit(around 1 minute) and then pour 2-3 tbsp of water and cover so that the dal becomes soft, once it becomes soft put chopped tomatoes and mix everything for a minute once done sprinkle some lemon juice on it and its ready to be eaten..
It will taste best if you eat it on top of a slice and even better with a homemade wheat bread.
Can also make a sandwich of it.
