Now the first thing that i tried was homemade brown bread , i got encouraged seeing my aunt making it and then i experimented with it a little bit .
I avoid cooking anything with maida/ all purpose flour as it is not good for anybody especially children and i don't want to give it to my son either. You can make any kind of sandwiches with this bread, my son loves it !!
ALL YOU NEED IS
Wheat flour - 3 cups
Sugar - 2tbsp
Salt - 1tsp
Milk - 1 tea cup
Refined oil -2tbsp
Baking powder - 2 1/2 tsp
Yeast - 3tspn (available in the market as dry yeast) and
Warm water
- In a small bowl mix yeast and warm water(3 tbspn) wait for 1or 2 mnts so that it rises.If it doesn't rise much don't get worried.
- In the meantime in another bowl put wheat flour the yeast mixture salt and start making a dough keep on kneading it for 2 to 3 mnts if required then grease your hands with oil and then knead.
- Make a thick roll then fold it and keep it aside covering it with wet cotton cloth.
- After 4to5 hrs again knead it fold it and set in the baking tray .(for this again u'll have to grease your hands as it will start sticking.)
- The next morning after 12 hrs put the baking tray into the oven at 220 C for 25mnts.
NOTE:- Setting aside time depends upon the season in winters it can take around two to three days depending upon how cold it is and make sure that you keep it in a warm place. But in summers it will take less if its very hot then a gap of a night is enough and if the quantity is more baking time will increase i.e for every per cup increase to the given quantity 10mnts more will be added to the given time.
